This is an unofficial site about Bramall Hall, one of the best loved visitor attractions in Stockport. If you’re looking for the official site then they can be found at http://www.bramallhall.org.uk/

This site is a personal project, the site is not affliated with the hall or its staff or owners whatsoever. All comments should therefore not be taken with a pinch of salt.

Anyway, why an unofficial blog about Bramall Hall? Well, because it’s my favourite park and my local park, and I want more people to know about it.

Bramall Hall and its park is probably one of the most visited parks in Stockport, and one of the best loved wedding venue in the Greater Manchester conurbation. It’s easy to see why after a brief visit.

The hall is run by Stockport Council and the surrounding park is open to the public, with very reasonable parking charges. Loved by families with children, dog walkers, joggers, weddings, school trips and more.

  1. Can you please tell me … many years ago I visited a “house” in Cheshire. In the main hall as we entered there was a long wooden seat (or ‘bench’?) and along the top back rail there was: “He who will not when he may, when he will may find him nay.” Is this carved seat at Bramall Hall? I know it sounds stupid not to know or remember the name of the place we visited, but we were still living overseas at the time and this was a very short flying visit back to England. MANY thanks for any help.
